Kanthallor Viewpoint is located in the Kanthallor village, Idukki distrit. It is an ideal place to capture the beauty of Kanthalloor. You will get a 360° view from there. This place is so calm and since it's not that much explored as other places. The shooting of Mohanlal's Bhramaram took place here.
Kanthalloor Waterfalls situated in the Kanthalloor village of Idukki district. This waterfall drops from a height of 20 meters. You can take a bath in the pool below if you are alright with the temperature of the water.
A former hunting preserve of the British planters, the Park today exemplifies wildlife at its best. It was declared a Sanctuary in 1975 with the intention of protecting the indigenous population of Nilgiri Tahr (highly endangered mountain goat)
Muniyara (also known as Dolmens) are structures built up using large stones. The structure consists of several huge stones that are covered by a single large stone on top called the cap stone. Some of the Muniyaras consist of several burial chambers while some contain just a single chamber.
The Hub of Sandalwood Trees. Marayoor, located forty km from Munnar, is a rain shadow village lying in the eastern side of the Western Ghats and is bordered by the neighbouring state Tamil Nadu. Marayoor is the only place in Kerala with a natural growth of sandalwood trees.
A lush green area surrounded by a fence in a hilly area, Marayoor Best Kanthalloor Tourist Spot is the only place in Kerala where sandalwood trees grow naturally. It is also a famous archaeological site. Marayoor has grottoes and caves with frescoes and relics. These caves are considered sacred as saints are believed to have meditated here in the past.
Kundala Dam best Kanthalloor Tourist Spot is a picturesque place 14 kilometers from Kanthalur forest on route through Mannavan shola. Boating facilities are available here. This route can also be taken to Munnar, 20 km away.
Located near Kanthalloor, Mannavan Shola best Kanthalloor Tourist Spot is the largest shola forest in Kerala. Evergreen rainforests are home to many rare and common animals, birds and plants. On October 22, 1901, the erstwhile Travancore state government ordered this 14 square kilometer unique ecosystem to be included as a reserve forest.
This beautiful Thoovanam Water Falls Kanthalloor Tourist Spot is located in the Chinnar Reserve. The stunning surroundings make it a great spot for picnicking and hiking. It can be reached by jeep or on foot through the forest. You might even get a chance to see some animals during the waterfall hike.
Chinnar Wild life Sanctuary Kanthalloor Tourist Spot is one of the famous sanctuaries in Kerala and shares a border with the Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary in Tamil Nadu. Established in 1984, Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the sanctuaries in the entire Western Ghats for its ecological, floristic, landscape and cultural significance.
